Activities

Samoa Post (SAMPOS) was established under the Postal Services Act 2010. SAMPOS provides universal postal service within Samoa, as well as a range of commercial postal services.

SAMPOS is governed by a board of directors that is responsible to the Minister of Public Enterprises.

Community Service Obligations

SAMPOS undertakes several non-commercial services, some of which it is required by the Postal Services Act 2010 to provide. These services include the operation of District Post offices in Savaii and the delivery of mail throughout Samoa at a flat, regulated fee. SAMPOS does not receive any direct compensation from the government for the provision of these services.
