Activities

The Samoa Trust Estates Corporation (STEC) was established under the Samoa Trust Estates Corporation Act 1977 to develop and maintain plantations on Upolu, wholesale and retail cattle, produce and sell coconuts, copra, vegetables, firewood and livestock. STEC was restructured in 1990 under the Samoa Trust Estates Corporation Reconstruction Act, which requires it carry on its operations “with a view to the privatisation of its enterprise by disposal or otherwise”.
